My Book 2TB flashing and PCB looks overheated

WD20EADS suddenly stopped being recognized by the PC. The LED is flashing constantly. I removed it from the housing. I can feel the drive spinning but still flashing and not recognized. The PCB looks overheated. Do you think I can change the PC board 2060-771642-001 and get this working?

I was hoping I could put this drive in a different case but I’ve been reading that is needs the interface PCB to decrypt it? Is that true?

Disks of My Book are hardware encrypted and need some other tool to decrypt the details. You can try with other USB adapters to read data.
