My 4gb microdisk won't hold full capacity...Why?

I purchased and formated my microdisk 4gb… I loaded it with photos and music but it will only hold

about half of it’s volume. When I go into settings info it tells me it’s 40% free memory. I try to load more

but it tells me that it cannot copy or create the file. What can I try? John

If I understand you, you are trying to transfer music & photos to a removable 4GB card, correct?

If that’s the case, I recommend you pick up a MicrSD USB card reader, use the card reader to format the card & transfer your files directly to the card using the card reader.

It’s possible that your microSDHC (not microdisk) card is defective.  Try testing it with the H2Testw utility:

Either that, or something happened where the Sansa glitched, and is not acknowleding previously transferred content.
