I synchronized music files from my computer to the Sandisk Fuze player and the songs do not play clearly and there are skips in them. These music files were downloaded a year ago.
Why is this happening?
Thanks

Do the songs skip when played on the computer?
No, the songs do not skip when played on the computer.
Its being fixed in the next firmware. Certain VBR and certain MP3 files had a problem.
Firmware due this month.
I just received a Sansa Fuze 8GB as a gift, installed the latest firmware (1.01.22A) and am having the same skipping/choppy playback issues. Is there a fix for this?
Depends on what your individual problem is. The issues that were identified as causing this phenomenon were corrected in the latest f/w release. If you still have problems, maybe you should examine your files. I’ve had skipping or cut-out issues in the past. Played bad on the player. Played fine in WMP. Re-ripped & re-transferred and now they play fine. Sometimes it’s just a glitch in the file.
At the very least you could give some details or substantiating circumstances under which this is happening, so that maybe it can be determined if maybe there’s still a issue that SanDisk missed, rather than just making a blanket statement that “it still doesn’t work!”
