mp3 illiterate

just bought a clip. won’t recharge. tried all suggestions from support, waiting to call when office open. didn’t know anythiing about needing to format till i started reading all the messages on here trying to find help. can someone help. my kids are hovering to get to download songs. thanks

Recharging should be easy.  Plug the Clip into a desktop computer that’s turned on (have to do this while the computer is on).   Or use an appropriate AC adapter that has the mini USB connector.  If either of these don’t work, You might have a battery (hardware) issue.
