microSD card is not recognized when in slot

Hi

I loaded a video  wvm file onto the 2 gig micro card and when I put the card into the fuze and turn it on the fuze does not show the micro card .   What gives???

Did you use SMC?

Is this correct…  was the card in the fuze and then  you took it out and put it back in?   You need the card in the fuze, then convert it using SMC.

Was it a video you need to convert first, like a dvd movie?  Those you have to convert on another converter and then use SMC.

What kind of card was it?  The Kinsington cards have a known problem with video and the fuze.  I’m sticking to Sandisk cards myself (since I tried a Kinsington and it didn’t work).

Is there anything else on the card and does that show up? If it does there is an issue witht the video file. If the video is the only thing on the card try turning the fuze off. Ejecting the card and putting it back in then restatrt the fuze. It will rebuild the directories this should help. But as someone alreadt said… if you have a kingston card … GET SOMETHING ELSE… because that could be the issue

Note that your Fuze will not display the external memory card as a separate device as Windows does. There IS a separate listing for it under the INFO in SETTINGS, though. It will display the total memory and remaining ‘free’ memory for both the player’s internal memory and the SD card.

The Fuze’s menus will list all content, regardless of internal or card in the same listing. Therefore, if you select the VIDEOS menu from the main menu, you may find the ‘missing’ video. It may have a little square icon on the left indicating that it is residing on the SD card.
