Micro Sd Card query

I’ve just inserted my micro card for the first time and widows media player has copied everything from my laptop on to the card, so I now have everything both on the internal memory and the micro card.

Does this mean that everytime I download an album, it will go onto both the internal memory and the card?

Can I delete the albums from the internal memory and just use the card as normal?

You have “automatic sync” turned on in WMP. Turn it off to keep WMP from doing this again. Then it will only transfer what you tell it to transfer. And yes, you can delete the duplicate tracks.
