When I rip an audiobook from discs to play on my Sandisk players I like to use MergeMP3 to combine the files from each disc into one file. This worked well for years on my Sansa Clip player but on my new Clip Sport Plus it doesn’t work so well.
The combined file will play but the display screen scroll bar and file length (of time) only displays the time for the first of the files that were used to make the combined file. This makes it impossible to scroll back or forward or to start somewhere in the middle of the file. If you somehow lose your place the only thing you can do is start over from the beginning.
I found if I use WavPad Sound Editor to combine the file my Clip Sport Plus will display the correct time and the scroll bar function will work properly. The trouble with this is the WavPad Sound Editor is very slow. It takes minutes to do what MergeMP3 does in seconds.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to use MergeMP3 with my Clip Sport Plus so the time and scroll bar fuctions work properly?
