Media Jukebox 12 doesn't recognize microSD in MTP

Just bought an 8GB Fuze (love it) along with a 16GB Kingston microSDHC.  In MTP mode (or Auto Detect) Media Jukebox 12 doesn’t recognize the 16GB card and won’t let me load music past the 8GB internal memory.  The card shows up in the Fuze under “info” and also in Windows in MTP or MSC mode.  If I switch the Fuze to MSC mode, MJ12 will show two devices…the 8GB Fuze and a separate 16GB microSDHC card and I can load music that way.  I would prefer to work in MTP mode for ease (loading music onto one device vice two) and for playlists.  I understand that MSC will work but I would like to know if there is a way to get this to work using MTP.  Any ideas?  Is MJ12 capable of recognizing and using an internal card under MTP mode?  I tried formatting the card in the Fuze, in Windows (using a card reader) and using the SD Formatter program.  Makes no difference.  My current firmware is 2.03.31A.  And looking at what is fixed in v33, I don’t think that would help.

Anyone?

Am I wrong in assuming that the MJ12 should recongnize the external card in MTP mode?

I haven’t seen anyone else even mention Media Jukebox, so it’s possible no one is familiar enough with it to answer your question.

Maybe it depends on the (very) old version of Media Jukebox

The latest version is MJ15, but it’s no freeware like MJ12

Try MJ12 on another computer or use the trial verson of MJ15 to recognise the bug/error.

P.S. I’m very happy with Media Jukebox 15

Media Jukebox 12 is the current version of the program.  You are thinking of Media Center 15 which is a different program which costs $50.  The Jukebox version is free and doesn’t do videos or photos.

I may try Media Monkey and see if that works.  I may also try Media Center and if it works, it may be worth $50.

The reason I used Media Jukebox 12 is because it was highly recommended on anythingbutipod.com.

Well I installed Media Monkey and it recognizes the microSD card.  However, it shows the internal and external memory as two seperate drives in MTP or MSC mode.

Is there a program out there that will see the external and internal memory as one “Drive” in MTP mode?  What are other people using?  I know most people here are probably using MSC and just using folder transfers but how about you MTP users out there who like playlists that can access both internal and external memory?

I don’t know if Winamp does what you want, but you can give it a try.

No, because they’re not.

There are ways to create playlists that will include files located in either memory location, but you still have to load them separately whether you use MTP and the infantile ‘syncing’ method or MSC and drag & drop.
