I have a 2tb My Book Essentials and I was wondering if it is possible to map the drive? I tried searching on here but didn’t quite find what I was looking for. I have the drive plugged into the server but I can’t access it from my work station. I can RDP to the server which isn’t a big deal but I’d like it to be more convenient if possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry, this is a USB drive only, the type of setting is not even supported by WD. Perhaps if you search online you could find a way to map the drive.
I eventually figured it out. You basically have to give the drive a name and set up new sharing permissions. Grant full rights to the user groups…then go to a computer and map what was created with the drive. I haven’t tested to see if it keeps the mapping after a reboot though but it does appear to work so far.
