m250 not able to add songs

have a m 250.  i can delete songs but cannot add them.  i tried using wmp sync.  it shows error.  i tried copy and paste.  says does not have enuf space.(but it does, and, the songs which are on there do not show up unless im in sync mode with wmp)

i put it in all the modes.  i tried auto detect.  the comp sees the device quickly in all modes.  will the original software work maybe?  where can i get it??
