M240 suddenly not working with Windows Media Player

I have been using my m240 for about 2 years now.  I make playlists from my stored songs on my computer.  For the first 2 years as soon as I clicked on the sync tab I could delete files.  I would add also on WMP from Library.  Now suddenly the sync tab is pressed and I don’t have music headings to edit.  I have “CONFIG AUDIBLE RECORD” with no sub-headings.  Does anyone know what the problem could be?  I don’t know if I have to update Media Player or something, but I am confused because I haven’t changed anything on my system.
