Lowering every bandwidths equally affect SQ?

Currently using a sansa clip+.

The min volume just too loud in my iems, so I tune down all the bandwidths equally, which did lower the min volume.

But would that setting be different compared to a default equaliser setting and affect the SQ?

To me, it sound pretty much the same, but just wish to seek confirmation.

Replaygain would be a better idea.

I have sensitive IEMs, but I only have a problem with the Clip+ radio volume – is your problem limited to the radio, or with everything you play?

(fwiw, this seems to be a good hack for other folks having the same problem with radio volume)
