The hard drive had been working fine since almost 2 yrs !! i had always used it through my laptop only so one timei tried to pluge it on a PC and then i got a note which was saying wait a moment for the computer to install this new device and it had taken a very long time !!! so i pulled the WD hard drive and since then it didn’t work for me anymore i think !! if i pluge on my laptop it would take time for it to be recognized and it would seem as if it was a new hard drive nothing is there completely empty ! even the name of it would appear as “local disk” and when it was working fine it used to be “my passport” !!. I took it to one shop and they told me they couldn’t retrieve the data because the problem has to do with media something like this !. Please kindy advice ! is there any hope ? how can i restore my data ?
unpluging the drive like that will have that exact effect

It’s corrupt something like TestDisk http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk or Easeus Disk Wizzard http://www.easeus.com/datarecoverywizard/do-data-recovery.htm or Recuva http://www.piriform.com/recuva If you are thinking of professional recovery it’s best to do nothing.
