Lost access to my WD passport

My WD Passport drive letter has changed to F/ and access denied. Appreciate if someone could help to regain access and recover my files.

A strange one! Can you provide a bit more info?
Are you sure is is F/? Should be F: for a drive letter. Was it D: before? Have you added another drive? Or partitions?

Are you logged on as Administrator? If not re-login as Administrator and try again.

Do you get the “access denied” when you click on the drive name? If not, where does this show up?

Do you get a option list when you “right click” the drive name? If so, click on properties. Is there Free Space? Also try “Security” tab. Are all but one of the Permissions checked for Administrator?

Let us know what happens.

I managedto solve the problem using a youtube video. I had to go to properties give full access to myself in the security tab.
