Letter "R" on back of a Fuze = Refurb???

Does the “R” from this picture means that the Fuze is a refurbished unit, or does it mean something else?

I asked this because I was under the impression that refurbished units were stamped with “REFURB” like the picture here.

Thanks.

Your first link doesn’t work. I get a “403-Forbidden” error page.

So sorry.  Let me try it again.

Fuze with the “R”:

Fuze that is positively a refurb:

So my question is whether the “R” means refurb or not.

It probably does. I looked at mine (I have more than a few Sansas, not all bought new) and found both marks. I think it’s just a case of different refurbing facilities using different marks.

Okay.  Thanks for the info.
