Not sure but I think this started when I upgraded from Win 7 to 10. Have a MyBook 4TB WCC4EN that requires the CD Drive “WD Unlocker” to be activated to gain access to the drive. It does not require a password. Just have to double click then exit. In the past, I just had to do this when I re-booted. Now I notice every time my pc comes out of hibernation, I have to repeat this “WD Unlocker”. This is annoying. And it means that backups and maintenance to occur during downtimes or overnight are not happening because its locked!
I have updated the Firmware, installed WD Drive Utilities and WD Smartware. Nothing I can find solves my problem. I have turned OFF the sleep mode under Smartware.
