Just got an external hard drive for my Mac as a gift.... problems arise

Just got one as a gift. My Book for Mac with WD Smartware.

I wanted to use it on my PS3 also, so I formatted it to FAT32… but when I plug it into my PS3… it has this random disconnect problem. IDK what’s going on and/or why it’s happening.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a receipt because I got this as a gift a few weeks ago and the receipt has already been thrown out by the person who got it for me, I already asked them about it. So I can’t even do a return or exchange.

Does anyone why this is happening and how I can possibly fix this???

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.  If worse comes to worse, you can RMA it.
