I just bought my clip today, I installed all the software prior to useage. The first time I plugged it in it started to install its drivers automatically. After about 3 seconds it just stops and fails. I looked around here and tried the different usb ways, auto mtp etc. The error says:
"Device driver software was not successfully installed.
Please consult with your device manufacturer for assistance getting this device installed.
MTP Device Failed"
It won’t let me do anything with the unit itself. Looking at it while its plugged into the usb port is It just keeps resetting and looks as if charging. I’m using Vista with the software preloaded from the CD it came with. Any help would be amazing. Thanks.
