IS YOUR COMPUTER READING YOUR HDD AS A DIFFERENT DRIVE? read this

I would love to share the good news.

First, the problem I had: Out of the blue, one day… my computer started to read my passport as a F: drive (instead of the usual “My Passport”). I click on the F: drive which is meant for my passport and it gives me an ERROR message and sometimes it tells me to “format” my HDD before use. BUT if i format my HDD all of my precious files would be deleted… so…

after hours of research in panic mode I found the solution…

Solution: Download any free recovery software (Highly reccommend Mecuvo or something like that, its really easy to use) back up the files to your computer/ other hdd/ other computer/ etc. then simply format your passport with windows. and it worked PERFECTLY for me at least…

EDIT: its revuca not Mecuvo… >.<

I’m not sure if this is what everyone already knew about, but DAYAM I’m glad I found a solution lol.

Oh yeah… by the way dont call WD customer support. They simply dont know [Deleted]. They told me the only way to fix your HDD is to have it checked by technicians inside bestbuy, but that costs hundreds of dollars… those [Deleted] just make you do some useless [Deleted] to kill time. I think their doing that too make you just hang up the phone… im not kidding. same for Timewarners customer support… [Deleted].
