Like, is it supposed to be a difference in how loud they are? I really don’t notice much of a difference in that case.
Some people can hear a difference and some cant. When I have mine hooked into my fm transmitter I set it to high because I find it works slightly better. Then with headphones I use normal. There is no significant difference I can hear.

Try this…set it to normal, press play(don’t actually have the 'phones on) and max the volume. Then, go in and change it to High…and look at the volume again…notice it is no longer maxed…the difference is not very big, but it’s there.
