Is there any benefit to having more potential write speed on memory card than video camera can offer?

Just recently, I got a SanDisk ImageMate Pro microSDXC SD Card with 128gb of storage and read speeds of up to 170MB/s for about $28 from Walmart. First of all, what is the write speed of it? 90MB/s?
100MB/s?

My Canon Vixia HF R700 can only go up to 35MB/s. Is there any additional benefit to having write speed of an SD Card capable of like 100MB/s vs 35MB/s in a video camera that only offers 35MB/s?

What else do I need to know?

All help, tips, and advice is much appreciated.
