Is my e260 done for?

I apologize for starting a new thread (you can delete the other) but I need to know if my e260 is completely dead.  I cannot do anything with it at this point.  It is always stuck on “refresh database.”  When I plug in to any computer, it is no longer recognized. It says it writing, but nothing happens.   I literally can’t do a thing with it…not even reformat.  Very frustrating…I really like this player.
