My 2 TB WD Essentials Live N3565 died on me recently. Sadly, I haven’t backed up some important files contained there. I have failed to recover said files. The recovery utilities I’ve used thus far all came back with chunks of unknown data. Is this because this external drive is hardware encrypted? Enlighten me please.
