I have just ordered a Fuze and am nearly ready to order an Invisible Shield to protect it.
Do you all recommend I get the IS screen protector only, or should I go with the full-body protection?
I have not yet seen the Fuze (!), but have read that it has a rubberized back, so am wondering whether there is really a need for an IS on that part of the device.
It does have a rubberized back but its a grip thing not a protection thing. I bought the Screen only, and then bought the Silicon case from Amazon, this gives it a bit of protection for the whole thing as well.
What lint problem? I dont have that issue. I didnt go with the full body because I liked the Silicon Case because of the belt clip, and the better grip and protection values.
I got a silicon case, similar to CB’s and and outfitted mine with a generic screen protector I picked up at my local grocery store. The screen protector easily trimmed to fit the fuze. I’ve used my fuze in all sorts of environments and never had a lint issue with my silicon case.

Now, I recommend Transparent Clear Crystal Snap On Hard Case for SanDisk Sansa Fuze which is what I bought and use, I dont want any part exposed that doesnt need to be, and the wheel, power slide and home button dont poke out with this one. I really love it, cleans easy and feels safe. Dont get it if you need a belt clip though.
You really don’t need the full protection. The screen-only protector will be fine. Especially if the Fuze then goes into some other sort of soft case. Personally, even if the back or body does get a few scratches, big deal. In another year you 'll have a new one anyway.
Can you still get to the microSD and charging sockets with this case on the fuze?
Any problem with grit getting under the protector (and scratching the Fuze)?
You’re referring to the crystal case? Yes, all openings are accessible. I found it helpful to widen the charging socket opening just a bit; I just carved one edge a mm or so wider before snapping it on to the Fuze.
My wife has had no problem with grit on her Fuze in her crystal case. I have a silicon skin on mine and it is more susceptible to grit. (I’m probbaly going to replace it with a crystal case.)
I wouldn’t worry about the back of the Fuze. There really is no point. The back is very scratch resistant. It’s the front screen area which is most important.

To you…
To some, the back is just as important; myself included. Although the way I care for my fuze, I probably wouldn’t need any protection at all; but I’ve seen some that the back looked worse than the front. I swear, some people are using it as a frizbee or something…

But the back feels so soft, it would be a shame to cover it up. Sometimes I rub it on my cheeks to feel its smoothness. Ahhhh!!
