One of the HGST disks I purchased is faulty, so I checked the warranty on the website and the serial is invalid.
Year of manufacture: 2016
Anyone seen this before?
I have the same problem. My unit is a 4 TB 7200 3.5 inch hdd with a manufacture date of November 2015. I bought the unit new from a Fry’s retail store. I’ve even pulled the serial number off of the internal listing of the hard drive using Speccy. It matches the label’s serial number as well. Help!
