Install Arabic font?

Hi,

I just brought a sansa fuze 6GB media player, one of the main reason being that it has the Arabic font. Unfortunately after opening the device I found out that my specific sansa does not have this language built in.

Is there anyway I can have the Arabic font installed on the device?

I can not give the sansa back as it has already been opened, however I feel that due to it not having the Arabic font as desired, it has become problematic.

Now, I do see something that looks like arabic to me at the bottom the the language list but if you want to bring it back you still can do it. You’ll just need the player with the cables/headphones/pouch/any other included accessories and your receipt. They usually don’t care if the box is opened or not.

You must not be thinking of Best Buy.   They make exchanges or returns of defective items difficult.  I’ve found Amazon to be the quickest and easiest to deal with when it comes to returns.

Are you using the lastest firmware? If not, try upgrading to the newest version, and see if that helps with your problem

Are you sure you have the right player and/or forum? There is no 6GB Fuze.

Yes, Its called: SanDisk Sansa Fuze 6GB Video MP3 Player With FM Radio - Black

I brought this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Sansa-Video-Player-Radio/dp/B002VM6LIU/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1282596699&sr=8-7

Its actually ended up including the memory card it came with

I haven’t tried anything yet as i didnt know what steps to take.

Thank you for the advic

It has been brought from amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Sansa-Video-Player-Radio/dp/B002VM6LIU/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1282596699&sr=8-7

They have mentioned in the returns policy:

Our 30-day* returns guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition within 30 days of the date you received the item, unopened (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact, clothing must have labels attached) and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item–see our Refunds Policy. We can only accept the return of opened items if they are faulty. Please note that we reserve the right to send back items to you that have been returned to us after 30 days unless they are faulty.

I dont think it would be considered as faulty

It seems to have all the other languages except the arabic font.

However thank you for the advice

Email Amazon customer service and ask them.

Ahhh . . . It’s a 2GB Fuze plus a 4GB memory card. Not that it matters for your problem, but just to make it clear for anyone else reading this in the future, there is no 6GB Fuze

.

Have you updated the firmware as suggeested earlier by SilverWolf?

So have you updated the firmware as suggested earlier by SilverWolf?

I’m a bit unsure as to which link is the most updated version of firmware.

Can you suggest the link?

Note that there are 2 different hardware versions of the Fuze, hence the 2 diferent firmware updates. Verify which version you have & click on the All Regions - Click here to download link. following the manual install directions. There’s no need to use the Updater no more often than what updates are released.

thank you,

your help is much appreciated

Thank you for the help, i have arabic font available on the sansa.

Alhamdulilah (all praise and thanks be to Allah)
