I put together three playlists of 70’s rock, split up this way:
1970-1973
1974-1976
1977-1979
Mostly classic rock but with some radio pop hits of the day thrown in to give it that “flashback” sound. This was a lot of fun to do and even more fun to listen to on my 8gb Sansa Fuze. Those years cover my middle & high school years and 3 of the 4 years I was in the military.
Anyone else here like to get creative with your playlists? Post some playlist categories/names, etc. you’ve got on your player (including songs & artists if you’d like).

I dont have playlists on my player, but… I am a rock DJ. I specialize in prog, indie, alt, and metal. That being said…I work at a classic rock station. This weekend we are doing All Hair All Weekend… I would be glad to post the music list from tonights show if you want.
I have several playlists that I give rather uniques names to. Here are a few:
Horn-E (Artists that play what else? Horns.)
Mello-Jello (Slow, easy-going music for relaxing or winding down)
Bloozey-Woozey (Blues. But the low-down epitome of this genre)
Motown-Showdown (You can probably figure this one out)
Vocal-Yokels (Usually singular vocal artists)
And in your ‘Classic Rock’-inspired subject . . .
Ear-Splitters:
AC/DC
The Animals
Black Oak Arkansas
The Doors
Chase (also in the Horn-E list)
The Edgar Winter Group
Eric Johnson
Evanescence
Foghat
Golden Earring
Grand Funk Railroad
Head East
Heart
Jethro Tull
Joe Satriani
Kansas
Little Feat
Manfred Mann’s Earth Band
Meat Loaf
Molly Hatchet
The Moody Blues
No Doubt
Pat Travers
Queen
REO Speedwagon
Rush
Santana
Scorpions
Spirit
Steppenwolf
Stevie Ray Vaughan (also featured prominently in the Bloozey-Woozey list)
Stone The Crows
Styx
Supertramp
Ted Nugent
U2
Wishbone Ash
I should really get around to making up another one in this category. As my music is split up between my player and memory card, only .pla playlists will play from both locations. And they are limited to 250 entries. I have many more artists whose music would warrant being in such a list.

I would appreciate it if you could. I need to add to my “Redneck Music” playlist.
