I’m using a Macbook that I updated to Sierra in the past week. Plugged my passport in (2 TB My Passport Ultra) to back up some photos. I got a notification to update to my passport software. Clicked to update, it only took a couple minutes. Now all of my folders are gone. After checking more info on the passport icon it showed me there’s still data stored on it but it’s not showing up. Not sure what to do now and really hoping that I didn’t lose years worth of photos. Here’s a pic of the info it shows me.
Hello,
Have you tried using a data recovery software to get the data out of the drive? If not, please try that.
There are some free software data recovery programs that don’t cost anything. I would recommend trying those before buying one.
