I can't open my disk or even format it to use it again , what can i do?

i have WD my passport 1TB with lots of data , the drive is not recognized now for no reason on my laptop ( win7 64bit ) or with any other pcs or laptops with different OSs
and when trying to open Dskmgt it says
" you must initialize a disk before logical Disk Manager can access it "
and pointing to Disk1 which is  my WD drive
and then when choosing MBR and clicking OK it doesn’t work and send me this error msg
" The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error "

Hello,

If the drive is still under warranty I recommend that you RMA it. I/O error usually means the drive has died.
