I recently purchased a Western Digital 2 TB (Passport) portable external hard drive from Best Buy. The only problem I have with it is I am unable to do a “date search” that would list my files in chronological order or show me files that were created on a certain date. How can I do this? I am using Windows 10 on an HP laptop. All my flash drives are good about being able to do this without any problems. But this portable storage device does not seem to even recognize this command. Thanks for commentintg
Probably something to do with permissions and indexing on the drive.
