I am unable to open the WD Smartware using the icon on the desktop

I have the following item which is a Western Digital 500GB ‘My Passport Essential’ External Hard Drive USB 2.0

Model : WDBACY5000ABK-PESN  s/n [ removed ]

p/n : WDBACY5000MBK-01   7200.12

I am unable to open the WD Smartware using the icon.

Can anyone out there please help this Gerry Attrick type person in Malta

You can launch smartware from different places.

Programs > Smartware

Open the drive > Smartware.exe

You can also use the icon on the notification area on the bottom left on the computer
