How to store photos outside the vault

How do I place my pictures “outside” the Secure Access Vault? Just bought the Extreme Portable SanDisk SSD and placed a lot of jpegs into it - into the vault. . Now I realize I can’t se the tumbnails of each picture - only an icon list. I want to be able to view the thumbnails (icons) so I can work with the pictures. I saw a forum answer about storing the pictures on the drive outside of the vault - but I don’t see how to do that. I’m assuming the SanDisk Extreme has another drive I could place pictures into? If so, how do I access that drive?

Thanks! John

Just copy and paste your file into the main folder…right next to the INstruction manual PDF that comes with it. Folders do not go into the vault automatically.

I don’t like the Vault in that you cannot see the thumbnail - that is very annoying. And also, within a folder, you cannot navigate from file to file. You always have to exit first, and then go back. QUite annoying. I wonder if there is a solution to that!!!

If you want to view thumbnails of your pictures and work with them easily, you may consider moving them out of the SecureAccess Vault.

To place your pictures “outside” the Secure Access Vault, you can simply drag and drop them from the vault to the main drive of the SSD. The main drive is the part of the SSD that is not encrypted by the Secure Access Vault. To access the main drive, simply open the folder that contains the pictures and drag them to another folder on the SSD.
