I just purchased my second “My Book” (4TB) and am
trying to include it in my home computer network.
I’ve not found any directions for accomplishing this…

Well, it’s not a NAS… so it’s not possible to put it on your network.
Your only choice is to “Share” the drive from the PC you’re attaching it to.

This is rather frustrating because it’s the
question I asked priro to purchasing this
unit. and, I was told that yes, I could
“network” it with my computers.

Who told you it could be “networked”, and in what way? (A sales person, some user at this forum. etc?
In a sense, it is networked if it is shared on a PC, but it is not networked like a NAS device such as a My Cloud which is plugged directly into the router.

I have finally figured out how to get it to show up
on all of my computers…
