How to differentiate between 2 backups

Hi there.

Can I choose where to backup to? In other words, can I create sub-folders and tell WD Smartware where to backup to? I have 2 computers connected to my NAS. May concern is that I might not be able to differentiate between the 2 backups should it be needed.

Hello,

Smartware cannot backup to a sub folder, but you can create another share to backup the files. Note that Smartware will create a separate folder for each backup using the name of the computer. Check page 82 of the manual for the steps to create a new share.

I wouldn’t worry about it, SmartWare is surprisingly good and keeping everything organized.
