How to delete additional files on hard drive

I have a little less than 200gb of additional personal files stored on my hard drive, along with 216gb of backed up files; however, my additional files folder is telling me I am using 457gb of space.  I just changed my back up copies from 5 to 2.

HOW can I get rid of the extra, unknown, 200+gb of additional files.

I do not want to delete the whole drive and start from scratch.  But I need those 200 gb of storage!

Hello dmsmth,

the category for additional files, are the files that are on the drive and were not backup with the WD Smartware software. So you should be able to access the drive and erase the information that is not located inside of the backup folder called WDSmartware.swstor

where do I find the folder called WDSmartware.swstor?
