When managing MPW from Windows Explorer with USB cable attached, I don’t have the “delete” possibility in contextual menu (right click). Do you know if it is a question of file rights or type? (The files are “archive” and I cannot change this too)
So I don’t manage to use this external HDD as a normal one, and the management of files trough Apps is not a great moment of joy.
Also, I don’t see the “Eject” option to unplug the HDD (and I don’t whant to install the Western Digital “Quick View” service just for that)
No answer was posted to this prior question. I have the same problem – Got new My Passport Wireless and don’t see any way to delete files once I imported them from an SD card. If I check file properties, it doesn’t provide info regarding file attributes (it just gives me the photo’s EXIF info). If anyone previously came up with a solution, I would appreciate your posting it here. Thanks.
Update: Disconnected, reconnected a couple times, powered off/on a couple times, reconnected to wireless network and eventually the “Delete” function showed up in the context menu. From that point I was able to delete files from Windows Explorer.
