How to convert Purchased AAC into MP3

Hi

I’ve received 2 I-tunes gift cards as x-mas gift . I have already downloaded the 16 songs in my windows 7 laptop. But Im not able to convert them into MP3. I have selected MP3 Encoder but when tried to convert any song, getting only option to convert it into AAC. The format of the I-Tunes are Purchased AAC. I have WMP 12 and I-tunes in my laptop. I want to transfer the songs to my 8 gb sansa clip+. Please help

While iTunes will convert and export the songs in mp3 format, you know that the Clip Zip will also play the songs in their native aac format, right?

Except he said he has a Clip+ . . .

Ah, missed that at the end, and this being the Clip Zip forum . . . .  Unfortunately, aac files are not playable on the Clip+.

But here are Apple’s instructions for creating a different format copy of a file.

Hi. You cannot convert iTunes songs into MP3 directly because they are DRM-protected. It is difficult for us to do the conversion job because we are not experts in this field. But we can take advantage of a music converter to do the job. The one I want to recommend is DumpMedia Apple Music Converter. It can let you convert DRM-protected files to MP3 format or any other formats that are playable in any media player, gadget, or device. To convert your files to your desired formats, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Download and Install DumpMedia Apple Music Converter

Of course, we need to ensure that DumpMedia Apple Music Converter has been downloaded and installed on the personal computer. Once installed, open and launch the program.

Step 2: Add files

Under the “Library” menu, tick “Music” if you wanted to copy the songs you have. Once done, you will now be seeing all the songs and playlists stored on your iTunes library.

To be able to choose the songs to be downloaded and converted, you can either tick the checkboxes right next to each or make use of the search bar to easily find the specific or certain songs you wanted to be transformed.

Step 3: Perform Adjustments On the Settings of The Resulting Output

The next step that should be done is to perform the adjustments on the settings of the resulting output. You can choose any format from those that would be listed. The application supports many DRM-free formats including MP3.

This as well supports those in AC3, M4A, M4R, AIFF, FLAC, AU, and even MKA format. Selecting any of those formats you prefer will do.

Step 4: Tick The Convert Button to Begin the Process

Upon completing all the adjustments wanted for personalization or customization, the final step would now be the conversion process. You can just hit the “Convert” button which is located at the bottom right corner of the screen.
