How to back up 2 PCs on a wireless network with a WD My Book Essential USB2.0 2TB HD?

I sure hope this is possible. Will I need additional sw? I suppose I plug the HD into the wired desktop and access it through the wireless from the laptop. Both laptop and desktop are running Windows 7.

Hi there, I guess you could do it if you set the MBE as a network share (Right-click> SHaring) and then using a backup software able to use network shares, like Windows Backup or Memeo Autobackup…

Try to look for free softwares first (Memeo works, but is NOT free), Windows Backup should be on your control panel if you are on Vista or W7.
