How do you keep the equalizer on?

when I am playing my music, on my sansa clip 2gb, I will go to the custom equalizer, customize it, and then when the light goes off the screen, the sound will go back low, is there anyway, that I can keep the equalizer on for good?, THANKS , =)

Once you have adjusted your custom EQ, “lock” the selection by pressing the center button.   Once you exit, the Custom will be stored.
