How do you combine several single hit songs into one album on the Sansa View?

I have several songs from different artists that I would like to combine into a single album on my View. I put all the songs in one folder and used ‘drag and drop’ to place the folder on the View. But, when I choose Music > albums, each song shows up as an album with one song in it. So, the list of albums is getting large and it takes a long time to scroll through. Any suggestions?

Your View does not read or display folders or file names. To do what you’re wanting to do, you’ll have to edit the ID3 tags, making all tracks the ‘same’ Artist & Album.

Or create a playlist with these tracks in it, and then ‘play’ the playlist.

MP3Tag is the resounding favorite utility to edit and manage your tags. Set the Write default in Tools to ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1 for the best results.

And don’t forget to hit the Save icon once you’ve made your changes. :wink:
