Dragging to the trash doesn’t work because it says I don’t have privileges or something to the .app. How do I remove it from the drive?
Smartware can’t be removed from the drive without voiding the warranty. I would suggest to take the drive back to the store and trade it for a WD Elements (Desktop or portable) or an AV drive (MyBook or Passport).
You’ll need to format them, but they don’t come with Smartware or any another software.
I Hope it helps.
Well, no. I got (good) advice, but the question wasn’t answered.
Wasn’t the question “How do I remove it from the drive?”?
Answer is: It cannot be removed from the drive, it’s a part of the drive o.o
