I tried playing the audibook, using the down arrow and entered delete audiobook, YES , but all it did is remove one of the 73 MP3 chapters. There must be a quicker way. Also how can I check the contents on the CLIP + 4 GB memory

The only way to delete the entire audio book consisting of multiple ‘tracks’ or files is to connect to your computer and delete them from there. You can only delete 1 file at a time on the device itself.
As far as checking the ‘contents’, are you asking how to check the files that are on it, or the available remaining space in the memory? You can see the files on it by going into Folder Mode (bottom of Music menu). Otherwise, to see the available unused memory, go to Settings > System Settings > Info.

What are you wanting to reset? A ‘reset’ is used when the player hangs up or otherwise is working abnormally. To do this, just press & hold the power button for 20 - 30 seconds.

Switch to the other USB mode. Your computer can only see files added while connected in the same mode as they were transferred in. So if you transferred the files in MTP mode, you’ll need to switch to that mode. Same with MSC. Don’t use the Auto Defect setting as if can connect in either mode at its will and without your knowledge. You do this in Settings > System Settings > USB Mode.

Thanks. Solved!
Does anybody know how to display the playlist on the computer?
I thought of using “playlist” as a workaround for easily deleting files when I am on the bicycle.
The idea was, to put al files for deletion in a playlist, and then later via my computer delete all files that appear in the playlist.
But I did not find a way to display a playlist on my computer screen.
Thanks!

You’re probably talking about the GoList, an on-board ‘playlisting’ feature. While what you’re proposing sounds like a good idea, unfortunately the GoList is an internal-only listings of tracks you’ve added to it. It can’t be accessed via your computer.
Short of deleting them one at a time using the Delete function on the player (which would require fiddling with buttons; not very safe on a bike unless you pull over), I don’t know of another way other than keeping a mental note of the tracks (if you’ve got a good memory), then hooking up to your computer when you get home and deleting them.
Maybe someone else has a better suggestion?
Gosh I hope there is a better way to delete an audiobook when finished. I have 11 disks with 99 chapters to remove and I would like to have a thumb that works when finished.
Is it really possible that Sansa didn’t make it easier to delete books when finished?
I’ve read to connect sansa to computer and delete books this way. When I connect my clip zip to the tomputer, I can’t see anything in any of the folders.
