I just purchased My Passport Ultra 2T. I want to read and write for both PC and IOS Air PRO. Reading different posts it suggests formatting the drive to exFAT. Is it best to partition for each (1T) and keep the files separate to ensure the PC pictures versus IOS do not get corrupted? Would appreciate your suggestions as I am a little hesitant as to correct approach. This is a gift for my son who has the Apple IOS AIR PRO. I have PC with windows 10. I would like to format it for him before I give it as Christmas gift so he can start storing his pics with no required action. He also would be pulling pictures from another external drive that was formatted for a PC.
Hello,
Pictures will not get corrupted because the drive is formatted to exFAT. I recommend you format the drive either to exFAT or FAT32 so you can use it on both Windows and Mac.
