Horrible Screeching after drop, drive does not work

Hello all, I hope you can help me, I have a My Passport SE 1TB drive, yesterday it was dropped from a chair and now when I plug it into a USB drive it makes a weird noise, as if the drive screeches as it turns, the light blinks and the drive is inaccesible, however, the computer knows it is plugged in, but I cannot repair or verify it, any ideas?

I have some very important information on this drive, please help me out

PS: I forgot to mention, I am on OSX 10.6

The disk is probably damaged. I doubt there is any fix. Maybe aprofessional data recovery service might get something but that is really expensive.
