Hi trouble with SanDisk and my Flex 2009

Hi, for some reason or another I am unable to get my Ford Flex Sync to recognize my player, have tried WMP and MP# file format to no avail it states no Media found yet I can play the player with my earphone, my question is.

  1. Is the Sandisk compatible with Ford Sync.

  2. What I am doing wrong, have tried settings on MSC etc. 

So far nothing is been recognized, the USB port on my Flex is working properly.  

Any suggestions???    This is my first MP3 player and bought it for the flex when I am going on trips and to listen to some oldies, so far the sound sounds great on the earphones but did not buy for that purpose only.
