I haven’t used my hard drive in a long time & I forgot my password. My hint is not helping me. How can I reset my password?
There is no way to reset the password. If you can’t figure it out you are out of luck. I think you get 5 attempts then a message to clean drive. If you want to keep trying remove the drive properly then reboot and reconnect and you will get 5 more tries.

Like Joe_S said you cannot retrieve the password with any reset You last option would be to erase the drive take a look at the video instructions on the link below for that procedure.
