i have an external hard drive and i backed up my lap top. problem now is that i can not retrive any of my movies that i transferred over. i keep getting this message “Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.” what do i do??
Hi I-b-jam-n, if you reinstalled Windows, you might also need download the codecs that allow you to play the files. You can also download a dedicated player like VLC. Check the links below for more information.
