Help with reformat my passport ultra for Mac

I have a new “My Passport Ultra 1TB”, it’s new and i’m trying to install it in a Mac with OS El Capitan. I read Answer ID 3865, like it said. But i can´t do the partition, i don´t know why the computer don´t let me do it. There is another option to do it? At this moment the hard drive appears to be write-protected.

By looking at the picture you shared, I can see you have the partition selected and not the drive. Try selecting the one on top and try following the instructions again.
