Hi, My wife has a 8 gig Sansa Fuse, It keeps locking up and the only way to clear it is to add or delete a song. This seems to happen when the battery is less than 1/2, I can’t download any new updates because my computer has Windows 2000.
You can get the updated firmware, go to the first post of the firmware thread in the Fuze forum, and follow the directions for manual/Mac install.
As far as the issue with it locking up, I’d try a soft reset first, see if that fixes the issue, if not, try a format of the internal memory, and if no success there, I’d call SanDisk to see what they can do for you.
