I’m having trouble ejecting the new Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0 64GB (Model: SDCZ80-064G) on my Surface Pro 2 running Windows 8.1. It ejects fine on my two other computers running Windows 7, however on the Surface Pro 2, there is no eject option within My Computer’s drive icon.
When I tried ejecting it from the Windows Taskbar icon, I get a “Device busy. Close any programs that might be using the device, and then try again later.” message.
Do you have SecureAccess running? It needs to be Closed before you remove the drive. I rarely use Windows 8, and doubt that I will ever upgrade or convert to it, so I’m not much help for you.
I don’t have any Antivirus or gadgets running.
Then maybe you have a virus or other malware accessing it. You really, really need to run security software on your machine.
